RYA Learning Aims - 02 Jul 07 Copies of the RYA existing and new Learning Aims are available in the library. Staff Assistance Visit Report Format 2007 The new SAV Report Format is available in the Library. There are a few changes mainly HQPTC to Air Cmd and free doughnuts for everyone at the end of visit de-brief, but at least everyone will have the latest version. NEW - Submission of SLC Claims on JPA - 23 Apr 07 A copy of the policy letter sent out to Units regarding SLC claims is available in the Library. New Defence SpLD Policy - 17 Apr 07 The term SpLD encompasses a range of learning difficulties which may affect an individual in their daily life. In the words of DGTE Dir TE: ‘The Defence Policy for SpLD promotes and provides systematic support to those personnel in the Armed Forces with identified needs to maximise their learning potential. It also complements the support that the MoD affords to its entire civilian staff with identified SpLD under the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.’ The policy has now been published as 2007DIN06-036, although a copy of the TEPG-endorsed version is also enclosed. ACOS Trg asks that the policy is disseminated to all relevant military education staff, Phase 1 and 2 establishments, and civilian HR staff, all of whom have a responsibility in ensuring its consistent implementation across Defence. Any queries on the implementation of this policy should be addressed in the first instance to Sqn Ldr Dave Freak (95471 Ext 7367). Available in the Library. CAT Points for Air Traffic Controller Courses The OU has recently approved the award of CAT points for certain ATC Courses details can be found via the OU page or by clicking here. SLC - NEBS Management Awards - ACS/TMT Courses A number of Resettlement and Education Clerks have contacted this HQ for clarification on individuals who are attempting to claim funding through the Standard Learning Credit (SLC) for NEBSM qualifications. Consequently, Sqn Ldr LF has reviewed the matter, in consultation with the Civ Accred team at this HQ and as of 01 Apr 02, the criteria for claiming SLC for NEBSM courses are as follows: Ineligible for SLC Funding
