City & Guilds Senior Awards in Leadership & Management in the RAF - Price Increase The City & Guilds Senior Awards are distinguished awards which are recognised in both civilian and military worlds. Working with City & Guilds we are now able to accredit military professional development with Senior Awards in Leadership and Management at three levels. The price for each of the levels is increasing from 01 Oct 07 all submissions after this date will be charged at the increased price. Click here for further information. Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector RAF Wyton Learning Centre has the opportunity to host the NEW teacher training course – PTLLS - also known as C&G 7303 or 7304. Huntingdon Regional College will deliver PTLLS at Level 4, which is seen as the more valuable qualification. This is the introduction to teaching in the life long learning sector, and will be studied over a 10-week period. The 3 hr lessons will take place on Monday afternoons and we will need a minimum of 15 students to make the course viable. Click here for more information. Chartered Management Institute - RAF Fast Track Membership Arrangements The Chartered Management Institute (www.managers.org.uk) is the only chartered professional body that is dedicated to management and leadership. The RAF has made arrangements that enable both Regular and Reserve personnel, including those who have retired, to gain fast-track membership at a reduced cost. Membership is available at various grades depending upon your rank and time in Service; details are available be following this link. Institute of Leadership & Management - RAF Corporate Membership Scheme (Revised 23 Mar 07) The Royal Air Force has recently become a corporate member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). ILM is the largest awarding body for management and leadership qualifications with over 75,000 registrations each year. It is also a leading professional body offering personal and professional development opportunities to around 20,000 managers at all stages of their career. Staffordshire University are currently tutoring their first group at RAF Wyton and have had more interest suggesting the viability of a second course. See attachment for detailed information. You do not have to commit to anything on the day, it is purely a presentation to explain the qualification and how to achieve it.
